| Seit Frühjahr 2000 liessen sich 30 ausgewählte Vertreter der 4 Hauptstämme der Familie Guggisberg einem DNS Test am Y-Chromosom unterziehen. Der Zweck dieses Projektes ist, nachzuweisen, dass alle Namensträger einen gemeinsamen, männlichen, namensgebenden Vorfahren haben. --- Since Spring of 2000 30 carefully selected representatives of the 4 main branches of the Guggisberg family submitted to a Y-Chromosome DNA test. The purpose of this project is to be able to prove that indeed all namebearers Guggisberg are the descendants of one single male ancestor, from whom the surname has originated from in the first place. |
